Cystoscopy
A rigid endoscope can be used for diagnosis and evaluation of the bladder

Rhinoscopy
Rhinoscopy can be used to evaluate the nasal passages and obtain biopsies.

Thoracoscopy
Thoracoscopy uses a rigid telescope to view the inside of the chest through a small hole in the chest. It can be used to get lung biopsies and also to perform pericardial windows. A pericardial window is performed to treat a problem called pericardial tamponade where the sac around the heart fills with fluid. The fluid causes pressure on the heart and interferes with the function of the heart. A window is cut in the sac ( pericardium) and relieves the pressure.
